AKASHA SPIRIT JARS AND LIGHT DISHES

Akasha, in both ancient and modern esoteric philosophies, is the essence of all things in the material world, where space and firmament combine. It is also the repository of all human and divine knowledge.

Akasha Spirit Jars and Light Dishes are created to embrace this and act as an aid to meditation – or simply as decorative pieces that bring a sense of peace and wholeness wherever they are placed.

Akasha Spirit Jars

These lovingly hand-crafted miniature jars have small openings, giving a tantalising hint of hidden internal space encased by the firmament of the outer walls. They are not only beautiful to look at but also very tactile, their form having been created to be held in the hands as an aid to contemplation whilst meditating. They contain not only the spirit of the earth, the maker and the tree from which they were created but, over time, will become imbued with the spirit of the owner as he/she becomes part of Akasha.

Many owners like to place a drop of essential oil inside their jar as an additional sensory aid to meditation.

Akasha Light Dishes

Hand-crafted from local hardwoods, these dishes are all unique, having forms suggested by the wood itself. What they have in common is a dished top, which represents, as a complement to the Spirit Jars, a spreading outward of space, knowledge and the human spirit, but still contained within a designated environment which has a light at its centre as the original source of illumination of the mind, the spirit, the earth and the cosmic space we all inhabit.
